A live panel discussion moderated by Yolanda Busbee, building on the talks by Monwabisi Dyantyi, Lisanne Du Plessis, Zandile Mchiza, Thandi Puoane and Beatrice Rabkin. Yolanda is Founder and CEO of Prosperity Food Company and LithaFlora African Botanicals & Sourcing. She is also the host for the podcast "Bee There. Do That". Yolanda’s interests are social innovation, new physics, cultural diversity, transformational leadership, digital technology, indigenous foods and their wisdom system complements.

Lisanne du Plessis

Lisanne du Plessis is an Associate Professor in Community Nutrition in the Division of Human Nutrition, Department of Global Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Stellenbosch University. Her field of experience and research focus is in Public Health Nutrition with a special interest in the environment that affects Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN).

Thandi Puoane

Thandi Puoane is a Professor Emeritus at the School of Public Health, University of the Western Cape. Her research areas include nutrition, obesity and risk factors for chronic non-communicable diseases, including consumer behaviors to respond to the food environment.

Beatrice Rabkin

Beatrice Rabkin has a BSc in Nutritional Medicine and Dip Pharmacy and is a Fertility Awareness and Reproductive Health Educator. She is passionate about promoting the eating of real, uncontaminated, whole and nutritionally dense foods.
